Logging In & Enrolling
How to log in to Moodle
Anyone who has a Illinois NetID and an Active Directory (AD) Password can login to the Moodle server. The main Moodle page is located at http://moodle.atlas.uiuc.edu. Students should then follow the login link located at the upper right of the browser window.
Students should then see a box similar to the one pictured. In the box next to Username, students should fill in thier Illinois NetID which is the text to the left of the @ in their Illinois E-mail addresses.
In the Password box, students should enter their Active Directory (AD) password. If the students does not know her AD she can reset or change it.
This should be adequate to login to Moodle. If students experience problems logging in, they should first try to reset their AD password. If that does not work, students can contact ATLAS Moodle Support.
Enrolling in Courses
Students who are taking University of Illinois courses that use Moodle are responsible to enroll themselves in the appropriate Moodle course. This can be done by following the login procedure above and browsing for the appropriate course. After logging in students should first choose the semester in which they are enrolled in the course and then the department rubric of the course. Students should then see their course listed. If the course is not listed, please contact the instructor of the course.
Students also may have received a direct URL for their class and an additional password called an enrollment key. Note that this IS NOT your AD password. Rather, it is a password instructors places on the course to restrict enrollment to just the students in their course. Students will have to type in this enrollment key to enroll in the course. After initially enrolling, students will not need to enter the enrollment key again.
