Segue Personal Websites
Segue is a convenient, web-based way for anyone at the University of Illinois (instructors, students, administrators) to create websites. Little or no knowledge of HTML or web page design is required. People may use their Segue site as long as they are at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
No sign-up or request required. Visit segue.atlas.uiuc.edu and start working on your website now!
ATLAS Support Request
You may want to read our Segue documentation and technical information, and the ATLAS Segue Terms of Service. Use of Segue is subject to Illinois campus computing policies.
Using Segue to Publish Student Projects
Segue is a convenient way for students to publish projects to the web, either individually or in teams. Segue provides mechanisms for discussion and feedback too. Because students already have Segue accounts, administrative hassle is low. The audience for student websites can be other students, parents, off-campus audiences, or the world!
Using Segue to Publish a Blog
A blog is a website format where "stories" are arranged in chronological order, newest at the top. Blogs often allow the audience to comment on individual stories. See: Instructions for creating a blog using Segue.
Using Segue for a Course Website
Instructors are free to use Segue for their course website. Segue provides facilities for publishing web pages, delivering documents, and facilitating discussion. Since ATLAS provides one Segue site per person, instructors using Segue for multiple courses will want to create each course in a separate section of their website. For course management facilities (online gradebook, quizzing), our Moodle Service or the Illinois Compass service provided by CITES EdTech.
