ATLAS provides all the facilities and expertise necessary to create professional-quality video materials for the internet, DVD, CD, videotape or audiotape.

Most of our services are available at low cost to LAS faculty, staff, and departments. An hourly service fee applies for other Illinois departments and non-Illinois clients.

Please note: for best service provide at least 3-5 working days notice of an event you would like videotaped.

Classroom Video Recording

ATLAS will professionally record lectures and presentations in your classroom and place that video on-line, on videotape or on DVD.

Lecture and Event Video Recording

Get professional-quality videos of lectures and events for the internet, on DVD or videotape.

Production Consulting, Planning, and Coordination

We will execute as much or as little of a project as desired. Even if you've never pursued a video project before, our experienced video producers will guide you through each step of production, leaving you free to generate the ideas and content in the video.

Please note: Even simple video projects require planning and coordination. Therefore it is best to coordinate with us well in advance of starting your project. Please set up a consultation appointment with us at least ten business days before you plan to start a major project.

Field Video Recording

From conferences and lectures to skits and plays, we can shoot video on-location, on- or off-campus, using standard definition (SD) or high definition (HD) digital video camcorders, professional lighting and sound for high-quality productions. Off-campus recording is sometimes possible. Cost of this services varies. Please contact us.

Streaming Internet Video

ATLAS can put your video on the internet so that it is accessibly anywhere in the world. We support all major video formats and codecs (Quicktime, WindowsMedia, Flash, MPEG-1/2/4, etc.), and specialize in RealVideo.

Studio Recording

For productions where ease and control are important, our professional multi-camera studio is equipped to make shooting video quick and simple. We use professional analog and digital cameras and decks along with professional lighting, microphones and sound mixers for the best results.

Digital Video Editing

Using a state-of-the-art computer-based non-linear editing (NLE) system, we can turn raw footage into a polished, completed video, ready for delivery on tape, disc or the 'net. Digitial video editing is the last stage in a video production, when the project finally comes together. During editing we can add titles, subtitles and special effects.
